Many thanks to Nick for the first benchmark reported at one of the resorts! This one is next to the tennis courts at the BoardWalk Villas, on the walkway to Disney-MGM Studios. Link to waymark.

This is an interesting trio of marks that Nick found near the Grand Floridian Wedding Pavilion. Note also the numbering system that's very different from the ones we've been finding in the parks.

Update May 10, 2015: Nick decided to check out whether the recent construction of the Disney Vacation Club Villas at the Poly had any effect on that resort's survey marks. Turns out it did. Poly-4 got a deep scratch that obliterated the "8" in the identifying number "3-8." Poly-5 and Poly-6 are gone entirely. |

Poly-1 Hawaii West |
I'm pleased to add the Polynesian Resort to our survey mark collection. Thanks to Nick for finding this between the beach and the Hawaii longhouse, near the western end of the longhouse. Link to waymark.

Poly-3 Hawaii Center |
It turns out that Poly-1 has a couple of siblings, also along the walkway between the beach and the Hawaii longhouse. Scott found them in June, 2006. I've named this one near the center of the longhouse (marked "2-5") Poly-3, and the other one near the east end of the longhouse (marked "3-8") Poly-4. Link to waymark.

And here is Scott's other find from June, 2006, along with a photo he took showing the locations of all three marks between the beach and the Hawaii longhouse. Link to waymark.

In May 2015, Nick checked this area and found that Poly-4 had been severely scratched. We thought at first that this had happened during the construction of the Polynesian Villas, but then Andy sent me a photo he took in June 2012 that also showed the scratches, so they happened before the construction. |

Poly-5 Tahiti East |
According to Nick, this mark is at the east end of the Poly's beach, east of the Tahiti longhouse. The ferries in the picture are the ones that run the from the Transportation & Ticket Center to the Magic Kingdom. Link to waymark.

This mark was destroyed during the construction of the Polynesian Villas in 2014-15. Thanks to Nick for the May 2015 photo of its previous location.

Nick then checked as much of the rest of the curb as he could (the parts that weren't obscured by overgrown grass), and he found another marker at the west end of that same beach. This one is just west of the Tahiti longhouse (visible in the background). Link to waymark.
|
Poly-6 was also a victim of the Polynesian Villas construction. Here's a photo from Nick of that area as it looked in May 2015.

During a ramble around Fort Wilderness in September, 2005, Nick found three marks around the Outpost. This first one is a full-size mark. It's on the parking lot side of the building, where the Magic Express buses pull up. Link to waymark.

Nick then went through the Outpost lobby to the area where people line up to check in their RVs and campers. Just outside that door, he found a mini-marker. Link to waymark.

Update March 23, 2015: Nick was strolling around Shades of Green and the Magnolia golf course in early March 2015 and he found a new mark! We're calling it SoG-2, although it's actually near the clubhouse for the golf courses rather than the resort. If we ever find more survey marks around Magnolia and/or the other WDW golf courses, maybe I'll create a new category for them. |

Our first report at Shades of Green, the hotel for military and civilian U.S. Dept. of Defense personnel at WDW! Congratulations to Sam for finding this one in May, 2006. It's near the clubhouse for the Magnolia golf course. Thanks also to Nick for refining the coordinates and getting a location photo. Link to waymark.
