The one survey mark I found at Epcot was one I'd been told about by Dan before my trip. It's outside the main entrance, near the Gift Stop and some restrooms. It's numbered "PI-1054660." Nick later made a nice composite photo of the mark and its location. Link to waymark.
|
Epcot-2 |
Meg found another marker on the same walkway as that one, but closer to the bus stops. This one (PI1054670) is set in a curb. Link to waymark.

Thanks to Jay and Nick for these photos of "P.I. 991510." It's on the walkway near Odyssey Center, between Test Track and the Mexico pavilion. Link to waymark.
In October, 2015, Andy got a new photo of this mark. |
Epcot-4 |
Kurt found "PI1056740" at Epcot in 2000. Nick later verified that it was in front of The Land. Unfortunately, it was destroyed in early 2005 during renovation of this area.

This photo, also from Nick, shows benchmark "P.I. 1045290" near a cute dinosaur topiary outside the Universe of Energy pavilion. Link to waymark.

In May 2015, Nick discovered that this area has been repaved and Epcot-5 is gone.

Here's a beautiful photo from 2004 by Nick of the entrance to Mission: Space, with an inset photo of its unnumbered benchmark, plus a couple taken by Andy in 2012. Link to waymark.
|
Epcot-7 |
Nick found this benchmark near the Living Seas pavilion. He isn't absolutely sure about the ID number because of the discoloring on it, but from the closeup photo, he's guessing "PI 1056730." In 2012, Andy took another closeup photo of it. Link to waymark.
|
Epcot-8 |
Jimmy spotted this one in 2002, but wasn't able to get a satisfactory photo of it. It's numbered"PI 1097440," and it's in World Showcase between Showcase Plaza and Cantina de San Angel. In 2004, Paul sent me a nice closeup photo of it. Then Nick went over to Epcot and got a location shot of the same mark. Link to waymark.

Here's another mark on the edge of World Showcase--specifically, on the walkway from Future World to WS. It's numbered "P.I. 1045360," and was found by Lloyd. Link to waymark.
Thanks to Andy for a new photo from October, 2015. |
Epcot-10 |
This one from Nick is inside Epcot but very near the main exit. (Looks like it's just a couple hundred feet from the one I found outside the gates.) The ID on it is "PI 1665251." Link to waymark.

This one (which is on a curb in the Epcot parking lot) acquired some stamped numbers in 2008. The first photo was taken by Nick in 2004. As you can see, the only stamping is the generic WDW survey mark text.
In April 2008, Vince informed me that he had found a disk in that location, but it had "1757272" on it. I was very tardy about updating my site, and got another note a year later from Sam letting me know that his daughter Sydni had also spotted the stamped mark. Almost a year after that (I told you I was tardy with the updates!), Scott sent me a beautiful closeup photo of the mark that he had taken around the same time as Vince found it. Nick later took a closeup photo himself and supplied me with a composite that uses the same background image as his original 2004 picture, but with the current stamped mark in the inset. Link to waymark.

Epcot-12 |
Nick's latest find at Epcot is just inside the turnstiles where the rental strollers are kept. It's numbered "PI1665250." Link to waymark.
In October, 2015, Andy got new location and closeup photos of this mark. |
Epcot-13 |
Nick was heading to the Epcot monorail to return to the Transportation & Ticket Center when this painted over mark caught his eye. There doesn't appear to be any numbering stamped on it, but there is the number 1000690 written above it with some sort of permanent marker pen. The coordinates on this one may be a bit iffy because of the canopy above it. (Nick and I took new readings in December, 2004 with two different GPS receivers, so they should be pretty good now.) Link to waymark.

This is another of the mini-markers. Nick found it on the east side of Spaceship Earth. It's marked PI-1054560. Update: In February, 2008, Nick noticed that part of the area around Spaceship Earth had been repaved, and Epcot-14 was gone.

JJ spotted this marker near the Mexican pavilion in late November, 2004. When I was in town a couple weeks later, Nick and I used JJ's description of the location to find it. JJ went back later and got some photos. (Update July, 2006: Nick and JJ have informed me that the ring carvers' kiosk has moved. I'm going to keep the original location name for this mark, but be aware that it's now south of the cantina and the little shop.) Link to waymark.

Once JJ found a benchmark hiding under the railing at World Showcase, Nick made it his mission to look for more. He found one between the Outpost and the German pavilion. Andy also got some beautiful photos of this one in 2012. Link to waymark.

Epcot-17 |
A friend of JJ's found one just outside the ticket booths, toward the kennel end of the Epcot entrance. JJ provided photos from two different angles, plus a closeup. This one is marked PI-1054520. Link to waymark.

In April, 2006, Nick went strolling around the Epcot parking lot and found this one in the southeast part of the lot. It's in the curb of one of the islands in the tram lane. Link to waymark.

Tim and Jill Walsh's six-year-old daughter Makena found this mark in May, 2006. It's at the Norway pavilion in World Showcase. Link to waymark.
|
Nick was in this area in May 2015 and notes, "Epcot-19 is almost surely gone as the construction walls are up and heavy earth moving equipment was visible at the Frozen attraction being built between Norway and Mexico." If you have a chance to visit this area after the construction is completed, please let me know whether you find Epcot-19.

In October, 2006, Min found this mark outside the Epcot Kennel Club during a 20-minute visit to the park. Way to go, Min! Link to waymark.

Congratulations to geocacher "SeaLawyer98" and his daughters "Princess_A" and "Princess_K" for finding this mark on a curb near the southwestern entrance of the Mouse Gear shop. This is a mini-marker with the stamping "1045330." Link to waymark.

Congratulations to waymarkers Jeff and Sandy for spotting this new mark near the flagpole just outside the Epcot turnstiles in May, 2012. Link to waymark.
And thanks to Andy for getting a photo from a different angle in October, 2015. |
Epcot-23 |
Test Track was closed for renovations during much of 2012. It reopened in December, and in January 2013, Derek found this new benchmark outside it.
