For the first 10-11 days, cafeteria workers would have been able to prepare
meals from fresh food. For the rest of their month of seclusion, everyone
would have had to subsist on packaged rations.
The cafeteria is now home to the Diefenbunker's Cold War film screenings.
I was really sorry that we weren't going to be in the area on the right day for
that. (It only happens once a month.) Other than Cheyenne Mountain, I can't
think of a more appropriate place to watch "Dr. Strangelove" or "Fail-Safe."
